About

My name is Andrew Wessels and I’m a writer, translator, editor, book designer, and teacher. Currently, I split my time between Istanbul and Los Angeles. I’ve previously lived in Houston, Cambridge, and Las Vegas.

My first book of poetry, A Turkish Dictionary, is published by 1913 Press.

Semi Circle—a chapbook of my translations of the Turkish poet Nurduran Duman—was published in 2016 by Goodmorning Menagerie.

Some of my poems, essays, translations, and collaborations have been published VOLT, Witness, Fence, Tammy Journal, Jacket2, Asymptote, and Colorado Review, among others.

I teach writing and am a literary editor and book designer at Les Figues Press and The Offending Adam.
